No Eat No Lift
Here’s some solid advice that I can give you:
If you don’t eat properly leading up to your lifting session, don’t even bother lifting. You’ll just be wasting your own time, and put yourself at risk of getting hurt.
Like an idiot I decided that since my plans changed I would move my leg day one day ahead of schedule and didn’t bother to think of eating ahead of time this way I would have more energy to perform the lifts. Sure enough, I paid the price. I had the worst leg workout in a very long time, and luckily for myself I didn’t sustain an injury because I knew enough not to push it after I realized what was going on.
I’m walking proof that even more seasoned lifters tend to get greedy and try to cut corners, but you can never cheat the weights. You maybe able to cheat on a math test or an economics exam, but no matter what, 300 pounds is 300 pounds and it wants to be on the ground!
